Hydroformed Subframe Detroit Speed's front subframe is a bolt-in replacement for the original stock subrame. It improves the handling and ride quality by utilizing Detroit Speed's unique suspension geometry. It is the ONLY subframe in the aftermarket industry with hydroformed frame rails. This is the subframe that supports the 1969 Camaro Test Car and the 1970 Camaro Test Car that have won multiple autocross trophies last year. The hydroformed frame rails feature strength and stiffness, precise quality, and repeatability. Hydroforming preserves the steel's strength processes which decrease material strength. The subframe comes complete with the following components: *Tubular upper and lower control arms *Coilover shocks and springs *Power rack and pinion steering *Splined sway bar * C6 Corvette upright NOTE: Subframe must ship freight. Up to a 10" wide sheel can be packaged without modification to the inner wheel wells. Both the main and secondary crossmembers are stamped for structural rigidity. SBC,BBC,LS1,LS2 AND LS1 engines have been designed as a direct bolt-in to this subframe. The DSE subframe has been designed, engineered, and developed for the road and track. QUADRAlink Rear Suspension Kit This is a great way to upgrade from your original leaf spring rear suspension. Unlike our competitors, DES's exclusive 4-link geometry design is uncompromised to acheive the best possible handling. The DSE "Swivel-Link" (Partented) allows the suspension to fully articulate with smooth solid motion and no binding. The best feature is that this is achieved without heim joints. Heim joints are noisy and prome to short-term life. The DSE QUADAlink utilizes tuned high-durometer rubber bushings (in place of heim joints or squeaky urethane busdhings). The long upper links provide great pinion and U-joint angle control. Contrary to competitors kits, our kit utilizes a panhard rod that provides precise and effective rear axle lateral location during hard cornering. The panhard rod is adjustable as ride height changes for roll center control. The rear upper shock crossmember strengthens the rear body and frame section. Dont settle for anything less than Detroit speed's QUADRAlink rear suspension. Rear Mini-Tub Kits This Complete Detroit Speed rear Mini-Tub kit includes all necessary parts for a complete project package. NOTE: You will need our Mini-Tub shocks and rear leaf spring bushing to complete the kit. Adjustable leaf spring pads require a 3" axle tube. Upgrade Options
Rear Mini-Tub Shocks These Koni rear shocks should be used on a 1967-81 Camaro/Firebird or 1968-74 Nova that has been mini-tubbed. The monotube high pressure gas shocks are rebound adjustable. This is the shock that our mini-tub kit is designed around for proper mount height, as well as jounce and rebound travel. They have a 1/2" bearing mount on each end.
Subframe Connectors The uniquely designed Detroit Speed weld in subframe connectors increase your car's stiffness by connecting the front subframe to the rear frame rails. Out subframe connectors are fabricated from 2"x3"x0.120" wall rectangular steel tubing. Laser cut brackets are included that attach the rear f the subframe to the connector for an easy, strong, and simple welded joint. Unlike others, the DSE subframe connectors are barely visible from underneath the car. The rear of the connector is tapered to attach to the rear frame rails and also has a laser but slot that conforms to the rear seat floor pan. The connectors are bent and TIG welded in a fixture for accuracy and repeatability. Our subframe connectors do not interfere with seat attachment hardware or the installation and removal of the rear leaf spring pocket, Can be installed on convertibles. Additionally, the molded factory carpet will still fit over the subframe connectors. Our weld-in connectors are supplied with templates, Pictures, and detailed instructions and DVD for installation.
Tubular Upper Control Arm Kit and Lower Control Arms Upper Control Arm Kit This Unique Detroit Speed tubular upper control arm kit is a bolt on enhancement for 1967-1981 Camaro/Firebirds and for 1968-1974 Novas. The suspension geometry is improved over stock by increasing camber gain and improving roll camer. This upper control arm kit is a complete and comprehensive package. Detroit Speed has done all the engineering and testing and we supply all the parts needed to complete the installation. All you will need to do is follow the instructions and supply the grease. Installation should take less than one day and should be followed by a Professional Alignment. Lower Control Arms Detroit Speed's tubular lower control arms replace stock lower control arms on 1967-81 Camaro/Firebirds and 1968-1974 Novas. These tubular lower control arms are shipped complete with lower ball joints, steering stops, and are ready to install on your car. Features include a robust design with gussets and cross brace, Delrin bushings with steel housings and crush tubes, and a black powdercoated finish. The geometry features include additional positive caster and a dropped spring pocket in the 1967-69 Camaro/Firebird and 1968-74 nova lower control arms are available with either a conventional lower coil spring pocket or a double shear mount for our coilover kit. This stamped aluminum closeout covers the unsightly core support, hood latch, and horns that can usually be seen when you open the hood of your Camaro. It is not a flat piece of aluminum. It bolts directly onto your Camaro and comes with steel replacement diagonal braces that fit underneath the new core support closeout. You can use the core support closeout in bare aluminum or paint it to match your Camaro.

Our panel smoothes the passenger side firewall, while retaining the stock cowl to firewall seam. The weld-in panel is made of 18-gauge steel and has a rolled edge. It comes complete with installation instructions and is stamped with pride in the USA.
